The housing, with a large program, moderates its volumetric effect, taking advantage of the construction under ground level, and arranging the whole day functional program under the eaves that forms the upper body corresponding to the night program.
The eaves, a large terrace that flies more than 12m towards the pool, and with almost 20m of transverse distance, forms a platform whose side walls solve the cantilever with an ingenious broken effect to further reduce the volumetric impact of the upper body. All this contributes to the collaboration of the structural walls that correspond to the compartmentalization of the night area, making the deck and floor slab work together to cover the large distance and cantilevers. Careful execution, both in the concreting and curing process, as in the formwork (with countershaft) and the down-striking, ensure correct initial and deferred behaviour.
The house grows in its interior thanks to the entries of light from the skylights on the roof, whose effect on the structure is fundamental to consider, given the joint behaviour of all elements of reinforced concrete.
