A house as a flown platform, framing the extraordinary views towards the horizon over a golf course, and through the opening that configures the architecture itself. It is a body flown both longitudinally and transversally, with the difficulty of the presence of the magnificent central courtyard, which prevents adequate compensation for an interior span for the resolution of the frontal overhang.
It is designed a grid of metal IPE and HEB profiles, on which steel plates are welded as a formwork to be able to provide a layer of concrete that contributes mass and inertia to the whole in order to control the vibrations. In addition, steel sheets reinforce the upper tensile fibres of the grid, since this is fundamentally requested by negative moments, as a consequence of the large overhangs.
The requirement of slenderness in the floor planning steel grid leads to the need to lead loads towards the roof structure through thin metal straps, strategically located and hidden in the window frames. The roof slab presents a greater rigidity due to the greater thickness that causes the system of ribs on the dining room, reason why it is able to receive loads hung from the floor deck.
