The project responds to a clear functional and programmatic organization, inherited directly by the structure itself. The substantially rectangular plant with access through the two short borders, one of them oblique, runs between two party walls at both sides. The building assumes the party walls and reinforces them, with two main structural planes.
The plant, at all levels, is divided into a communications band on one side, and a band of main uses, both spaces being separated by the service elements, which are responsible for the rigidity and resistance to the horizontal actions, of great magnitude in the seismic case. This is due to the high weight of the floor slabs and to the geographic location of high seismic risk.
Reinforced concrete walls and slabs form the sculpted space of a large prismatic block of artificial stone, more than ever true that structure and architecture fit into the same constructed object. Precision, supported by modular order and constructive rigor, form the main points on which the project is based.
